what does the green bird do in angry birds

Hal, the Boomerang Bird (also known as Hal or Green Bird) is a main character in the Angry Birds video game series and a playable character.

Hal debuted in Level 6 of Angry Birds known as Danger Above where he was captured but then was eventually freed anyone.

  • Musician – Hal likes to play the banjo.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Boomerang: Hal’s signature move is to open his beak in a specific way and spin back like a boomerang, which enables him to attack buildings from behind. To help him fly over the buildings more easily, Hal can also be launched from the Slingshot much farther than the other birds.
  • Tornatoes: Available only in Angry Birds Go!, Hal can summon tornatoes onto a player, greatly diminishing their strength.
  • Transformation: Hal changed into Volcanicus, Trypticon, and Grimlock after the EggSpark crashed on Piggy Island.

Hal initially appears in Angry Birds on Level 6, where he created his first playable level in a 6-4 update known as Danger Above. He also makes an appearance in Angry Birds Seasons, where he attempted to defeat the Pigs during a special appearance on Summer Pignic. For reasons that are unclear, he also doesn’t support their space exploration in Angry Birds Space.

Hal’s personality has been erratic, with varying portrayals of the character appearing in various media.

Hal is depicted as a very mature character in a number of places, such as the Angry Birds comic series. He appears to have a great appreciation for life’s little pleasures because he frequently goes camping or plays the banjo when he is discovered. He is a rather daring bird that dons an adventurer’s hat in Angry Birds Go! (which was featured in the game’s toys and telepods). He doesn’t feel the need to become angry and typically stays out of the bird fights with the pigs.

But in scenes like The Angry Birds Movie and the Summer Pignic short film, Hal is shown as a very foolish and awkward character. He is obviously much younger, and his voice is given a squeaky, nasal quality instead of a raspy, creaky one. This version of him, in contrast to his other, very different personality, is an actual “angry” bird who has a strong desire to get angry and fight the pigs. He included both of these elements in his description for The Official Guide to the World of Angry Birds.
