Bird Box Barcelona has arrived on Netflix, and it could just be the beginning of a wider Bird Box universe on Netflix.
The new movie is a spin-off from the 2018 hit Bird Box and not a direct sequel. When it was announced in 2021, Deadline reported that it could be the first of “multiple local-language Bird Box spinoffs”.
“Malories journey was just the first chapter of this global, apocalyptic event,” producer Chris Morgan told EW when the first trailer for Bird Box Barcelona was released in June 2023.
