For the most part, I was happy with my subscription to Early Birds; however, as another reviewer mentioned, I occasionally received unsolicited advertisements that I had no interest in. I am generally interested in history and non fiction. I’ve recently noticed that the book recommendations I was given seemed to be heavily biased toward liberal authors. I wrote them about this and they denied it. Next, they declared that they would be making a donation to Black Lives Matter. I want to unsubscribe because I think this is extremely political and biased.

Despite my repeated attempts, EBB will not remove me from their email list. Extremely irksome I would give a 0 rating if I could.

In December 2021, I conducted two book promotional campaigns with Early Bird Books. The results were very disappointing. I will not use them again. Service Value Returns Quality.

I have removed myself multiple times from their mailing list. I have even put them into spam. And yet their emails persist. Just stop.

Customer advice: They give you dubious options, and you don’t have a say in which best books they choose. And then, no matter how many times you block them in emails, they never stop pleading for your attention.

Products used: I didnt. Service Value Returns Quality

Promised free e-book. I tried to download again but was unsuccessful, so I gave it another go. A scam? Service Value.

Early bird books claim to give you a choice of subjects, but in reality, you will be inundated with information from which you cannot get away. This implies that the subjects you are interested in are lessened by the reviews you have to read. This also means that you will still receive the items you did not request even if there are no new topics. I requested that this be changed, and this is Early Bird Books’ response. Regretfully, it is impossible to omit bestsellers and honorees. You will always receive those books. If you must sift through titles, check out Slickdeals’ free digital content forum.

“Extremely liberal biased” Anna R.

What Early Bird Books, an ebook deal newsletter and promotion service, has been doing lately has really impressed me.

Promoting websites that conceal the fact that they are being paid by the big boys is nothing new. What strikes me though is:

Could Early Bird Books ever begin to wean readers from Amazon? (They currently make sure to include links to Google, Apple, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo, but they may decide to change their minds for commercial reasons.)

Firstly, Open Road is pricing midlist titles aggressively while maintaining a high normal retail price.

Will Early Bird Books ever welcome independent authors, or will an imitator for independent authors ever surface?
