Step 2: To represent the second portion of the kiwi bird’s body, draw a large, broad arc on the left side of the circle. Make a tiny mark to represent the height of the arc first, and then use curved lines to join the mark to the circle. The combined guides should have an egg-like shape as their final form.

Step 1: To illustrate the first portion of the kiwi’s body, draw a large circle. To indicate the height and width of the circle, first draw four small marks. Then, use curved lines to connect the marks. Start with a light sketch so that it can be easily erased if something goes wrong. But the circle doesnt have to be perfect. Its just a guide. Trace the outside rim of a cup, a lid, or any other object with a circular edge if you really want to draw a perfect circle. Make sure the bird’s head and legs have enough room on the left and bottom, respectively.
