Visually Disabled Muzzleloader Scope Permit- NO FEE
Available to any resident or nonresident hunter who is visually impaired and has a diagnosed disease or disorder, permanent loss, or significant limitation that significantly impairs vision, making it impossible for the hunter to see and line up the sights of a muzzle-loading rifle with a target in order to hunt deer If a hunter has a muzzle-loading deer hunt tag, they are permitted to use a scope with no more than one power while hunting. Annual certification from the hunter’s doctor or optometrist is necessary; however, if the doctor or optometrist stated on the initial application that the hunter has a permanent disability, the hunter will be able to renew the permit by presenting a copy of their previously issued Visually Disabled Muzzleloader Scope Permit. The CDFW License and Revenue Branch is the only place where you can obtain the permit.
