A Traditional Bird

  • 1 Draw two circles to provide framework for the drawing. There are two circles on the page: a small one in the upper right corner and a large one in the center.
  • 2 To create the bird’s body, draw curved lines joining the two circles.
  • 3 To create the beak, draw a thin triangle with a line in the middle. The triangle extends at the lower right.
  • 4 Improve the drawing by including eye and wing feather details.
  • 5 Draw the slender legs using straight lines.
  • 6 Trace with a pen and erase unnecessary lines. Draw details for the feathers around the body.
  • 7 Color to your liking!

  • 5 Create rounded curves that extend from the body to represent the bird’s wings.
  • 6 Sketch the bird’s feet, legs, and tail feathers in detail.
  • 7 Trace with a pen and erase unnecessary lines. Add additional details.
